Hungrily Ever After Lettering Series

What would it look like if you could put a foodie spin on classic fairy tales?

Filled with playful puns and parodies, this lettering series aims to stir up a mix of hunger, humor, and nostalgia. Each story has its own unique color palette, completing a rainbow gradient of 18 book cover designs.

I focused on a popular fairytale with a food-twisted quote inspired by the story for each piece. For instance, Snow White’s mirror shows the hungriest rather than the fairest. Sleeping Beauty won’t wake up until the food is ready.

Vibrant colors and bursts of food and fairytale motifs add some zest to the art, suggesting that there’s a contemporary update or remix to these beloved stories.

On a personal level, this project was a way to experiment with a variety of color palettes and create a library (no pun intended 😆) of lettering styles.
